SK's creative department
Jessy

I would like to thank everyone
who responded to SK DT call
It was definately not easy for me to choose a team
Due to overwhelming respond
I am pleased to announce 5 new SK DTs
Let's learn more about them

Aniza Mahyuddin

"I picked up scrapping in Sept 2007.
Met my wonderful hubby 13 years ago, when we were both still in university.
We decided to tie the knot 5 years ago and it has been an awesome journey.
We are blessed with the cheekiest little boy who lights up our lives
in ways we never thought possible.
He was the reason I started scrapping
And he is also the reason I continue doing so.
I have yet to settle into a scrapping style
but I know for certain that I simply love my basic tools - paper, scissors & glue.

When I am not a wife, mummy, chef, laundry-woman, bum-wiper, milk-maker, & scrapper

I am a full-time post-graduate research student at NUS,

thinking of ways to make a world a better place…"

Michelle

"I am a plain jane that loves scrapbooking and altered arts.
We are blessed with two in our family
and they are a constant source of inspiration for my scrapbooking.
Trying out new techniques are my favourite thing
and I am on a mission to get more Malaysians into scrapbooking."

Wendy Smith

"I'm Wendy, Mum to 2 active boys Charlie & Angus.

These guys are the reason I started scrapping

and the reason I continue to scrap.

I have been scrapping for over 4 years now,

and I love capturing their every milestone and adverture on camera

and then creating keepsakes for the future.

Other than a total paperholic and scrapping addict,

I am a nurse in a Neonatal Intensive Care unit,

so my days are filled with mixed emotions both at home and work.

I love my family, my career and my friends,

and I love my scrapping"

Vivi Rahman

"I am the quiet type but has a lot to give and share.

Married and blessed with a two yr old girl.

Banker by day and Scrapper by night.

My scrapbooking style is simple but varies from time to time

hence I am still learning new style and techniques.

Additionally I tend to incorporate a little bit

of vintage look in my creations.

I wish to learn more from other talented scrappers out there."

Yvette Planas

"I'm Yvette Planas from the Philippines.

I'm 30 years old, full time mom to the sweetest,

smartest, prettiest 5 year old in the world :)

Reading is my first love but scrapbooking comes in a close second.

I started scrapbooking when my daughter was just

a few months old, mainly because I wanted

to document every little thing about her.

I also love photography, travelling and the Beatles"

Do come back on
1st January 2009
for a brand new challenge
at Scrappin Kids!!

Goody Fun
Jasmin
When we were told that December's challenge
was to create a layout featuring presents
that your kids received.
I realised I hardly have any pics of the kids
with their presents!!
Then I remembered I took pics of each of the kids
with the goodies that they received during SK Goody Bag Swap
They each received special goody bags from Wati & Liza
Nadya was delighted to see her goody bag!!!

Journalling
"The kids received goodies during SK Goody Bag
Swap.
Nadya was no exception in receiving
special goodies from Auntie Wati & Auntie Liza!
These 2 ladies never fail to make the kids feel special"

Are all these for ME?
Liza
Aaqil was clueless as to why he was getting so many presents
on his 2nd birthday but he was really happy
when Mummy helped him unwrapped his presents
He couldn't believe that all the presents were for HIM!

Hidden Journalling
"Despite not knowing what was happening,
you were really surprised,
excited and very happy to receive all the presents
You even asked me
"Are all these for ME?"

Simple Pleasure
Wati
Adam received presents from Chris and me all the time
He is always excited and happy to receive it
However, we notice that he is more happy
when he received a balloon
I am so glad that he still
treasure and enjoy the simple thing in life

Journalling
"Jus a balloon could get you all excited!
I am loving your simplicity"

Here's the layouts by our Design Team
This will be their last layout for SK
Thanks team for all your inspirational layouts!!

"This layout has a special meaning to me.
It features my 1st newborn, Nabillah, who is now 12 years old.
With her, I have gained my first experience as a mother
and I am sure there are more new life encounters
for me as she goes through life.
This layout is extra special as it is also my first layout
for Scrappin Kids as a Residence Designer
and my very 1st creation as a design team member.
This was when I was still
"learning how to walk" and trying
to establish my style of creation.
So the title "My First" in this layout
definately holds many special meaning to me."

1st Smile
by Liza
"This layout of Aaqil's first smile for Challenge #2
remains my absolute favourite as it always warms up
my heart whenever I look at this photo & layout!!
It's such a precious photo and
that it always reminds me how thankful I am

He always see to it that Harvey is taken good care of.
I thank God for giving me him!"

Eating is one of the best bonding moments ever in my family.
We all gather up, tell stories
while dining & enjoying each other's company"

"Mini ME" September

Do you ever see a photo of your lil ones
and it immediately reminded you of YOU!!!

"Mini ME"
Challenge #12

Our layout challenge this month is to scrap
about that particular photo of your little one
that reminded you of yourself!!
Do include a journalling as well

Scrappin Kids is proud to annouce our
September Guest DesignerEdleen Maryam

Edleen is from Singapore
She is a proud mom to 2 daughters & 2 sons
and had been scrapping for the past 3 years

"Hi Everyone! I'm Edleen Maryam
Wife to Ron and a Stay @ Home Mom Blessed with 4 Beautiful Kids.
I Love Travelling and have been fortunate to do so.
I enjoy Photography since I was young and with all my photos,I would compile them into an album with pieces of paper
cut from magazines and wrapping papers
and that was my Scrapbook collection then.
I started scrapbooking with Acid Free products
in November 2005 and has never stopped since!
Scrapbooking is also a form of therapy for me
as I truly enjoy the process with my number one Inspiration, that is my Family."

Here is Edleen's take on the challenge
"I have 4 Children and looking at their photographs
often reminds me of how I never really
had that many of my own Baby photos.
But the ones that I do, I truly cherish them.
This shot of Muesa and Aneesa truly reminds me
of me being with my own brother.
A sibling moment that I hope will alwaysbe the close bond that they will have forever."

Journalling :
I love this photo of Muesa & Aneesa.
He was about 5 and a half years and she about 12mths old.
This shot reminds me of times when I was a
Little Girl playing with my older brother.
Sadly, I don't have many photos of me when I was little. But the memories remain and I'm Thankful for that.
Whenever I look at photos of my children,
I see myself, a little of Me and Ron.
We are so Blessed and Thank God for Everything.
Here are the layouts by our Residence Designers

Dat's So Me
Jasmin

"This was definitely quite a challenge
trying to pick a photo that reflects me.As I find that in each of my kids, there's a bit about me in there.
After much searching going through
my big database of photos in my computer, I found this!
Syafiee definitely inherited my bookworm trait
and he has this habit of reading till he sleeps.
That was me when I was about his age,
when I found that I must have a read just before I sleep- and usually ended up the book staring at me. "
Journalling
This pic really reminds me of myself
when I was such a bookworm.
That I even read myself to sleep.
And I still do it now that I'm a mom.

No
Liza
"I couldn't resist scrapping this photo of Aaqil
for this challenge and somehow he managed to mimic
my exact actions and tone of voicewhich always neverfails to remind me of ME!!!

Journalling:
This photo reminds me of ME!
This is the same gesture and the same word
that I do and use whenever I don't like you to do any naughty things.

Funky
Wati
"Adam is never afraid to try new things.
Just look at this photo, I managed
to capture Adam with my sunnies.
It definately reminded me of myself
who can't leave without my sunnies"

Journalling
Adam loves to dress up and looking cool!
Look at this pic.
He just look so natural with my glasses
He shows that he is not afraid to be 'himself'
Just like me!

Check out these lovely layouts by our Design Team

U Remind Me Of
Cookie
"This year, my husband and I've decided to let
Harvey go to school for the first time.
I've decided to enroll him at the same school
I went to some 20+ years ago.
And it really made me happy to be able to do that.
When first day came.. i was so happy
to see Harvey wearing the uniform I used to wear.
Really make me proud and it reminds me so much of myself"

I Adore You
Issa

"Enzo is one of my miracles in life...
after ten years of waiting and 2 unfortunate pregnancies,
we were blessed to have another bundle of joy.
And as he grow up, I see so much of myself in this little boy..."

Journalling :
"You are very much like Mommy...
Maybe not much in your physical looks
but more on your attitude...
jolly type of person but sooo shy at times,
throws the things within your reach whenever you are mad,
loved to pose and be photographed,
showy and vocal to every emotions felt.
I just adore everything about you Enzo!"
